Thoughts from Day 1 #7habits

Our speaker, William Blackford, is entertaining, in your face and offers thought provoking accountability breaks. He shares real experiences and is convincing…this is not a program, it is a process.

Some thoughts I jotted down today:

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.  Viktor E. Frankl

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.  Viktor E. Frankl

Common knowledge is not common practice.  When knowledge is put into practice, it makes all the difference.

You reflect the temperamant and attitude of those you spend the most time around.

Failure is like fertilizer…it stinks but it helps you grow.

Paradigm shifts…when we see differently, we think, feel and act differently.

Recognize other people’s paradigms are not the same as our own.  And ours is not necessarily the correct one.

Carry your own weather…

Your life is a result of your own decisions,  not your conditions.

Everybody talks about being great – not everyone wants to invest in the work that it takes to be great.
